Back to school
It's September and time for many people to get back to school. Even if you're not going back to school it's a good time of year to think about education and it's various forms. To that end we carry a number of titles on alternative education, including self-schooling and home-schooling. On Dec 6, 1989, 14 women were killed at the Ecole Polytechnique Montreal. In order to mark the 10-year anniversary of the Montreal Massacre, a publication of Women's thoughts and feelings is being planned. September - Sulih Williams-MkayugaSulih is exhibiting artwork about women and transformation of the self . . .black women and women of color are especially welcome to come and look at these offerings. Sulih will be at Venus Envy on Monday September 13 from 6-7:30pm. Join us for refreshments and a chat with the artist.

We'd especially love to carry local women's music so if you or anyone you know has cassettes or CDs ready to go, bring them down and we'll sell them on consignment.
