Miya Turnbull: 'Ki' Paintings
The 'Ki' series is a combination of paintings overlaid with ink blowings and detailed penwork. 'Ki' in Japanese translates to 'Universal Life Force' (also known as Chi or Prana). The ink represents 'Ki' energy which permeates all living things. The paintings are a study of colour, form, movement and life. The paintings can be seen as micro and macrocosmic. The circles represent
the seed, cell and egg, as well as conception, the sun and the cosmos. The circle and spiral form can be seen as a Mandala, a symbol for the sacred centre. The lines represent tree branches, roots and the process of growth and change itself.

Tanya Zodrow: In My Glory
Tanya has been painting for for 21 years (since the age of 12), and has sold her work both in Canada and the United States. She creates tension in her work through the interplay of vibrant colors. Sexuality is a dominant motif, and therein the expression of her views on the human condition.
